Today’s topic: Nice to Sparrows!: Margaret Morse Nice and Song Sparrow Studies. She was the first woman president of a major American ornithologist society, and the Wilson Ornithological Society’s award for “lifetime contributions to ornithology” is named for her. She studied song development in birds and language development in her own children. And she introduced the work of Konrad Lorenz to American ornithologists. You should know more about her!
Meet at the TNA parking lot at the entrance to the EEC/Little Farm.
We’ll walk a wide path to Jewel Lake and back. Restrooms and water at the start and midway.
