North Lake, Golden Gate Park

An event every month that begins at 10:00 am on day Fourth of the month, repeating indefinitely
In partnership with San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, volunteers support habitat for local and migrating birds at North Lake in Golden Gate Park. Remove invasive plants and maintain gardens. Long term goal is to add more local SF native plants that provide food and cover for the many birds at this site.
Advance registration required. We also require all participants to read and accept Golden Gate Audubon’sVOLUNTEER LIABILITY WAIVER. By registering for this event, you acknowledge your acceptance of the terms of the waiver.

Directions: Meet at “Chain of Lakes” restroom pavilion on JFK Drive west of west stair entrance to North Lake and west of Chain of Lakes Drive. See map at SFRPD registration page.
Bring your water bottle. Wear closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing including dress in layers with long pants and long sleeved shirt. Bring your own gardening gloves if you like but gloves and tools will also be provided. Restrooms and drinking water nearby.
