Miller-Knox Shoreline Park (Richmond)
Sunday, July 24, 2022 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am
Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline is truly one of the gems of the East Bay. Along the shoreline, beautiful views of the Bay complement the opportunity to see a variety of waterbirds. As you head inland, you pass through open fields, dense scrub, and then up into the rolling hills, some of which are blanketed in forest. This variety of habitats attracts a diverse cast of birds, and Miller/Knox’s location immediately along the Bayshore means that it acts as a beacon for migrating birds. Birders of all experience levels are invited to help me explore and get to know this beautiful park and its birdlife. The walk will last 2-3 hours and may include some elevation change. Plenty of free parking and public restrooms available. I’m excited to spend more time here, it’s a very diverse area and up in the hills you can feel totally immersed in nature despite being so close to the Bay!
