Heron’s Head Accessible Birding Trip
January 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
All are welcome to join this accessible outing to see shorebirds and ducks that visit Heron’s Head in the winter. Meet in the parking lot, which is small but has two ADA spots if needed.
We will go at a leisurely pace to follow the main paved path on the jetty, about a mile round trip. We’ll also stop at the Eco Center to learn about its innovative design of green technology and architecture; the center also has accessible restrooms. Bring binoculars and, if you have one, a scope. For those who wish to venture further, there is an option to follow the accessible path that leads to India Basin, just south of Heron’s Head.
Heavy rain cancels. Feel free to contact the leader with any questions.
Leader: Chris Okon, email@example.com, (415) 860-5102
