EBMUD Watershed Field Trip
July 17 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am
Birding in the Lamorinda area on level trails and fire roads. This area features a variety of habitats: chaparral and scrub, grassland, pine-oak woodland, marsh, and the top of the reservoir. Likely birds include raptors, sparrows, California Thrasher, nuthatches, wrens, and the shy Wood Ducks. Walking is on hard-packed trails, with some gentle up and down hill. There is a pit toilet at the starting point, but no drinking water.
This trip is free but advance registration is required. The exact location and directions will be provided to registered participants. Registration will open on July 3 and will close on the Thursday before the trip at 4 p.m. (If you try to register before July 3, you’ll get a message that registration is closed.)
Please note the public health guidelines for this trip, as we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic:
