Berkeley Aquatic Park
October 24 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
All are welcome but LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folks are especially invited to a participatory field trip. Everyone can help the group spot birds, and thus will contribute to our knowledge. There should be large birds that can be seen without binoculars, including migratory and winter water birds. We will likely discover land birds by sight and ear too. Binoculars help, so let Rachel know in advance if you’d like a loaner pair. Walk will be 1-2 miles on flat partially unpaved terrain. Bring layers. For a good idea of species to expect, see the Ebird Bar Chart (link to: https://ebird.org/barchart?byr=2010&eyr=2020&bmo=10&emo=10&r=L597003) Trip is cross listed with the Feminist Bird Club. Reach out to Rachel with questions.
