Golden Gate Bird Alliance has been speaking out on behalf of birds and wildlife in two current controversies involving the city of San Francisco —  the city’s plans to host the America’s Cup, and to create brightly-lit artificial turf soccer fields in the Beach Chalet area of western Golden Gate Park.
